Samuel Watson (Ineos Grenadier) wins the prologue of the Tour de Romandie, a 3.44km individual time trial.

The Briton completed the Saint-Imier course in 4'33" at an average speed of 45.6 km/h.

Almost until the end of the race Ivo Oliveira led the standings, but he had to give up the top step of the podium by only 28 hundredths. Romeo took third place.

In terms of the general classification, Evenepoel, Almeida and Vlasov are in the top 15, but the gaps are all very limited considering the shortness of the route.
