Great feat by Tadej Pogacar.

The Slovenian won the Strade Bianche today starting 50 km from the finish and only reaching the finish line in Piazza del Campo in Siena.

For Pogacar it is the 34th victory in his career, the first in the classic of the northern most southern of Europe.

Excellent performance by Alejandro Valverde , second in about one minute (at 42). On the podium also a brilliant Kasper Asgreen , third, who partly saved the Quick Step day.

The loser of the day, in fact, is his teammate and big favorite on the eve of Julian Alaphilippe: the world champion, protagonist of a bad fall, returned to the group but then detached himself on one of the last sectors of dirt road leaving green light to the Danish.
