Joshua Tarling (Ineos Grenadiers) wins the second time trial stage of the Giro d'Italia. The Briton completed the 13.7km course in Tirana in 16'07" at an average speed of 51 km/h.

In the first part of the test Affini and Vine take turns in the lead, then the big favorite Tarling sets off and climbs to the top of the standings and no one manages to dislodge him. Roglic comes very close to winning the stage, losing only one second at the finish. Third place for Vine .

In the general classification , Roglic becomes the new pink jersey by 1" on Pedersen ; Ayuso, Tiberi, Arensman, Gee and Storer contain the delay, while A.Yates, Carapaz, Bernal, Pidcock and Ciccone do worse.
