The hero of the day after the fourth stage of the Tour de France is undoubtedly Torstein Træen , the new yellow jersey.
The Norwegian has gained almost 13 minutes on the leading group and now has a 7:53 advantage over Tadej Pogacar and had already performed a similar move in last year's Vuelta (where he finished in ninth place).
This is why the Uno-X rider is becoming a dangerous opponent for all the riders aiming for the top ten in the general classification: “ It's difficult for me to understand how important this result is ,” Traen declared after the finish. “You see it in the faces of those around you, in the crowd, but for me at the moment it's still difficult to fully understand it. I'll have time to understand it. The Tour is the most important race in the world, so I want to enjoy it .”
Træen 's story is one of great hope and courage, as the Norwegian battled testicular cancer in 2022. Træen underwent surgery and was able to ride again four months later. The Norwegian rider picked up where he left off, and in 2025, he not only achieved ninth place in the general classification at the Vuelta, but also managed to wear the red jersey .
Now Træen wears yellow, in the most important stage race of all: a dream that has come true and transformed into an inspiration for everyone.
