Marlen Reusser (Movistar) won the first stage of the women's Tour de Suisse, starting and finishing in Gstaad, over 95.5km.

The race explodes on the hardest climb of the day, the Jaun Pass, far from the finish line. Reusser and Demi Vollering remain in front, immediately building up a clear advantage over the others.

Upon arrival, after two kilometers of suspense in which the two studied each other and slowed down, it was Reusser who took victory in the sprint.

Kasia Niewadoma also finished on the podium of the day, over 1'30", ahead of Niamh Fisher Black and Urska Zigart. Group over 2' behind.
