Bad accident for Martin Lopez in the third stage of the Tour Down Under . The Team XDS Astana rider fell, hitting his face on the asphalt 15 km from the finish line in Uraidla and was forced to retire . Initial checks have ruled out fractures or serious injuries ; the rider is conscious, but doctors have decided to keep him in hospital for further checks.
