Fabio Christen (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) wins the second stage of the Tour of Slovenia, from Velenje to Rogaška Slatina (162.7km).

The undulating stage was decided by an action 25 km from the finish line by Bax , followed by 6 other men. The group was surprised and did not have the strength to react, also due to the continuous breaks that made life difficult for the sprinters : the first three yesterday, in fact, Groenewegen, Bauhaus and Penalver, surrendered almost immediately to the continuous accelerations.

The victory was decided in a narrow sprint, in which Christen prevailed ahead of Johannessen and Geoghegan Hart, after the jury decided to demote Rui Oliveira for an irregular maneuver in the sprint . In the general classification, Christen took the leader's jersey.
