Juan Pedro Lopez of Lidl Trek won the third stage of the 124.8km Tour of the Alps, starting and finishing in Schwaz in Austria. The Spaniard preceded Giulio Pellizzari of Bardiani at the finish line by about twenty seconds and the group of the best, without Chris Harper and Geraint Thomas, regulated by Tobias Foss at 40 seconds. Among them also Antonio Tiberi, sixth.

Lopez is the new leader of the general classification with 31 seconds ahead of Foss, 45 seconds over Ben O'Connor and 48 seconds over Tiberi.
