Michael Storer takes overall lead
Nicolas Prodhomme won the fifth and final stage of the Tour of the Alps, starting and finishing in Lienz, 112.2 km long. The Decathlon Ag2R rider was part of the breakaway that started at the beginning of the stage together with other riders including his teammate, the very young Paul Seixas.
The two reached the finish line together, after attacking on the Stronach, the last climb of the day with very steep gradients.
In the general classification, Michael Storer made the difference on the previous climb, the Bannberg, detaching himself from his direct rival Thymen Arensman, and thus taking the overall victory of the race.
