Jonathan Milan won the first stage of the UAE Tour, from Madinat Zayed Shams Solar Park to Liwa Palace, 138 km. Milan is the first leader of the general classification.

The breakaway of the day resumed, which saw Manuele Tarozzi, Carlos Samudio and Federico Biagini as protagonists, and the group approached the finish line at great speed.

On the slightly uphill finish, Milan is the strongest, clearly overtaking Tadej Pogacar who doesn't have the legs to follow him and beating Jasper Philipsen, who however is demoted for an incorrect maneuver a few meters from the finish, and Finn Fisher Black.
