Pavel Bittner wins the first stage of the Vuelta a Burgos, from Vilviestre del Pinar to Burgos, 168 km.

The Team Dsm rider, who is also the first leader of the general classification, precedes Giacomo Nizzolo and Ivan Garcia Cortina in the sprint. Edoardo Affini also did well, arriving in fourth place, while Ivo Oliveira placed fifth.  

Tomorrow second stage from   Valle de Mena to Complejo Karstico Ojo Guareña of 161km, still potentially suitable for fast riders, but also open to a breakaway.
