Kaden Groves wins stage 14 of the Vuelta from Villafranco del Bierzo to Villablino (200.5km).

In the early stages of the race a breakaway formed consisting of Meurisse, Del Toro, Tejada, Campenaerts, Frigo and Narvaez.

The red jersey group, today, however, does not give a large margin to the attackers, especially thanks to the work of Team Visma in favor of Van Aert; in fact, Narvaez , Frigo and Tejada , the last escapees to resist, approach the pedalable Puerto de Leitariegos with just over 1' of advantage.

The group returns 2 km from the top; the climb does not create a great selection and no one tries to break away.

Groves manages to hold out and Alpecin works for him in the final flat kilometres in view of the final sprint. The challenge is, as usual, between Groves and Van Aert with the Australian starting first and managing to resist the Belgian's comeback. Third place for Strong .
