Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx) wins the first stage of the women's UAE Tour from Dubai Police Officer's Club›Dubai Harbour (149km).

The stage, completely flat, ended with a group sprint, with the day's breakaway (Tonetti, Swinkels and Laporta) being reabsorbed 3 km from the end.

The final sprint is set up perfectly by Team SD Worx: Wiebes attacks at the right moment and wins easily ahead of Kool and Veenhoven .

It is worth mentioning a huge fall 53 km from the finish line, involving 29 athletes; Paternoster withdraws almost immediately, while we will see if there will be other abandonments in the next few hours.
