A chapter in professional cycling history is about to end. Team Soudal-QuickStep has officially announced that its new co-title sponsor, starting in 2027, will be Safety Jogger , an international brand specializing in work footwear and protective clothing. The announcement was made with great fanfare during the first rest day of the Tour de France , prompting some melancholy among longtime fans.
QuickStep is leaving after more than two decades of presence on the jersey of Belgian riders. An era that has given world cycling over 1,000 victories , including eight editions of the Tour of Flanders , six Paris-Roubaix , and the 2022 Vuelta a España won by Remco Evenepoel . A head-turning palmares, built brick by brick over nearly a quarter of a century.
As team CEO Jurgen Foré was keen to point out, QuickStep won't disappear completely. The brand will remain visible on the race kit and will maintain a prominent position on the team's kit. "QuickStep will be with us for another four years, and we thank them for that. They will be prominently featured on the kit, and we're happy about that," Foré said.
Safety Jogger is not a new name in the industry: the brand has been supporting the team for a few seasons as a minor sponsor, and since January 2026, it has already intensified its presence, appearing on the race shorts as well as on the riders' shoulders and socks. This escalation of visibility has now culminated in a co-title sponsorship.
"Becoming a co-title partner is the ultimate recognition of our long-standing relationship and the icing on the cake of five years of extraordinary company growth. From 2027, we will take our commitment to the next level," commented enthusiastically Safety Jogger CEO Tom Gybels .
Meanwhile, on the road, the Belgian team is already making a name for itself in this edition of the Tour de France: Tim Merlier has already secured two stage victories , confirming the team's great sprinting prowess. For those who play fantasy cycling, Merlier remains one of the most reliable men on fast stages, and the team's strong form is a sign not to be ignored when managing your roster.
