The Belgian confirms himself as the strongest, nothing to do for Groenewegen

Tim Merlier wins the third stage of the AlUla Tour from Hegra to Tayma Fort of 180.6 km. Stage characterized by the wind that puts the riders in difficulty. The group splits in half and Eddie Dunbar , the man in the general classification of Team Jayco AlUla, loses contact and loses about 1'.

Then the final sprint, in which Meriler places himself perfectly and wins the two-man sprint with Groenewegen, who takes his wheel, but then fails to overtake him. Third place for Molano (UAE Team Emirates) who confirms his good condition, as does Moschetti ( Q 36.5), fourth.

Tom Pidcock punctures at the end and is forced to stop, but is within 3 km of the finish, with the gap neutralized. The Briton remains the leader of the general classification.
