After the split during La Vuelta , the first rumors are starting to surface about Juan Auyso 's next team. The Spaniard is reportedly close to signing a five-year contract with Lidl-Trek , who want him as a Grand Tour rider, to make the leap in quality and get closer to the two strongest teams in this type of race, UAE Team Emirates and Visma Lease a Bike .

Ayuso, also followed by Astana , is close to a new adventure with Lidl, even if the official announcement will probably come after the World Championships in Kigali, Rwanda , where the Spaniard will challenge his now former teammate Tadej Pogaca .
