Benoot ready for classics season

One rider to keep an eye on for the next season at Fantacycling is Tiesj Benoot . The Belgian from Team Visma Lease a Bike wants to be a protagonist in the classics and has a Fantacycling rating of 23 fantamillions : tempting.

“I will start my season on the roads of the Clásica Jaén, in Spain,” Tiesj Benoot told RTBF during the team presentation. “Then I will take part in the Volta ao Algarve, the two races of the opening weekend in Belgium, the Nieuwsblad and the Kuurne, and then almost all the classics after a training camp at altitude in Tenerife, from E3 to Liège. I hope to achieve great results there, and with the team our big goals in the classics are the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. These are the races we are preparing for. The Tour of Flanders, the Roubaix, we are sure that Wout (Van Aert) is capable of winning these races, especially with the team we have,” Benoot continued. “I hope we will have less bad luck than in 2024. Personally, when I fell two and a half years ago, I discovered another strength: when you can’t ride a bike, you realize how much you love cycling. Jonas and Wout have already shown that they are great champions and that they are capable of returning to their best levels."
