Excellent third place for Finn

Jarno Widar (Belgium) repeated his victory yesterday and won the first semi-stage on the final day of the Tour de l'Avenir.

Lorenzo Finn , 3rd at the finish, had tried to attack on the first climb of the day, Colle San Carlo, but was then caught by the leading group.

In the final, Widar , as in the fifth stage, had the best start and preceded Seixas at the finish line at La Rosiere.

Decomble retains the jersey but loses further ground: the Frenchman in fact ran into difficulty on the Petit-Saint-Bernard Pass and paid 31" to Widar.

This afternoon, starting at 3:15 PM, the decisive second half-stage features a 10.3 km time trial from Montvalezan to La Rosiere. Given the climbs, Widar, Seixas, and our Finn will be the main contenders; the three are separated by just 7 seconds.
