Matthew Brennan (Team Visma Lease a bike) wins the Grand Prix de Deinan (1.Pro), a 197km French classic.

The race really gets going 40km from the finish line with some moves that put 8 men in the lead and 8 pursuers with a delay of about 30".

The small group behind is unable to organize a chase and the eight in command play it out: there are several attempts to anticipate the sprint, but in the end it comes down to a sprint, with Brennan confirming that he is a very fast man and beating G.Vermeersch and De Bondt.
