Giro d'Italia: stage and pink for Vingegaard

Jonas Vingegaard won the 133km stage 14 of the Giro d'Italia, from Aosta to Pila. The Dane is the new pink jersey.
The first real mountain stage with a summit finish. A breakaway immediately broke out, including Ciccone, Mas, Vlasov, De La Cruz, Hirt, and Arrieta. But their lead remained around three minutes thanks to the work of Visma in the peloton led by the pink jersey Eulalio.
Eulalio himself broke away at the start of the climb to Pila, followed by O'Connor, another overall contender. Kuss and Piganzoli's push, in addition to overtaking all the escapees, anticipated Vingegaard's attack just over 4 km from the finish, with Gall close behind. Then, an extraordinary Pellizzari and teammate Hindley broke away from Arensman.
Vingegaard arrives with arms raised, taking his third stage win. Gall follows, almost 50 seconds behind, followed by Hindley, Piganzoli, and Pellizzari.
