The Italian rider leads the group, Moschetti outwitted

Filippo D'Aiuto won the second stage of the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali , 158 km from Lodi to Massalengo. The General Store rider surprised everyone by breaking away alone at the end of the race and crossing the finish line alone.  

The group arrived 9” behind the stage winner, with the sprint controlled by Matteo Moschetti (Q36.5), second, ahead of Tommaso Bessega (Team Polti VisitMalta), Alessio Magagnotti (Red Bull Bora) and Alessio Meneghini (Team Technipes).

D'Aiuto is also the new leader of the general classification with a 9” lead over Frenchman Axel Laurance and 13” over Swiss national champion Mauro Schmid .
