Elisa Longo Borghini won the Giro d'Italia Women . Second and third place went to Marlen Reusser (Movistar Team) and Sarah Gigante (AG Insurance - Soudal Team), respectively.

"It's been an incredible Giro, for me and for the team," said Longo Borghini. "The last eight days have been intense: we had a common goal, and we achieved it. Yesterday was a fantastic stage, but the work wasn't done—we had to stay focused on today's stage, and that's exactly what we did. I'm speechless... this feeling is simply incredible."

The final stage from Forlì to Imola (Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari), 134 km long, was won by Liane Lippert (Movistar Team) ahead of Anna Van der Breggen (Team SD Worx - Protime) and Marlen Reusser (Movistar Team).
