Remco Evenepoel has been linked with Red Bull-Bora several times in recent months. In the end, however, the Olympic champion has decided to stay with Soudal Quick-Step, the team he has been riding for since 2019.
A recent rumor revealed that Red Bull would have done everything to bring Evenepoel to their team, going as far as offering a contract worth 10 million a year , approximately double what he earns at Quick-Step.
In addition to the financial compensation, Evenepoel would also be able to bring with him three trusted men from his staff, who would be hired by RedBull.
Evenepoel, however, will still race in 2025 with Patrick Lefevere's team, which has done everything to keep its best talent. We'll see if this will be the best choice for the 2000-born rider who has declared his desire to try to conquer the yellow jersey, after his brilliant third place last season.
