Live connections with the flagship car could revolutionize communication in cycling

Fantacycling and Swatt Club , two of the youngest realities in the world of cycling, joined forces for the first time on the occasion of the Tour of Hellas , a 2.1 race held in 5 stages from 6 to 10 May, and gave life to an unprecedented media experiment .

During the live YouTube broadcast of the Greek race on the Fantacycling channel, the continuous connection with the Swatt Club's flagship car allowed the thousands of spectators in attendance to experience a race from the inside for the first time. Giorgio Brambilla , former professional and now Swatt's sports director, answered questions from the audience and, above all, demonstrated without filters what it means to direct a race in real time, with decisions and tactics having to be finalized in a matter of seconds.

In addition to the positive media outcome, the race ended in the best possible way for the Swatt Club (which had already come close to victory in the fourth stage with Pettiti's 2nd place) who won the final stage with a phenomenal performance by Mads Andersen aka "The Butcher" and already an idol of the Fantacycling and Swatt Club communities.

Cycling, despite being an ancient sport and anchored (sometimes excessively) to tradition, continues to prove fertile ground for innovative ideas and breaths of fresh air, coming from individuals and communities who, though young, bring expertise and, above all, great passion for this sport.

The experiment was a success and could rewrite the rules of cycling live broadcasts, with this type of content likely to soon be imitated by more important races.
