Frenchman beats UAE rider on Eastern Mountain climb
David Gaudu and Adam Yates will probably be two of the protagonists who will battle on the climbs of the next Giro d'Italia. The start list is still to be defined but the two riders have already confirmed their presence and, if Gaudu will be sure of the leadership grades, it is still complicated to understand the role that Yates will have, in a team full of champions.
The first challenge of the season went to David Gaudu who won the third stage of the Tour of Oman (2.Pro), beating the British rider in the sprint on the climb of Eastern Mountain (4.7 km at 7.6%).
Gaudu's 2024 ended on a high with a 6th place at the Vuelta and a 9th at the Lombardia and his 2025 has started in the best possible way; we'll see if between Strade Bianche, Tirreno-Adriatico and Tour of Romandie, the Frenchman will find the right legs to fight for the positions that count in the future pink race .
