The 2025 Tour de Romandie does not have a large start list but there is no shortage of interesting ideas for a category 3 race that awards many points to Fantacycling.

It starts on Tuesday 29 April with a short prologue of 3.4 km, then three moving stages with two light uphill finishes until the queen stage, scheduled for Saturday, with the arrival at altitude in Thyon 2000 after twenty kilometers of climbing. It closes on Sunday with another time trial in Geneva of 17 km.

The number one favorite is Remco Evenepoel , coming off a decidedly negative Liège in which he showed physical and other shortcomings. The main opponent is Joao Almeida , who could ruin the Belgian's plans also thanks to a team that includes Jay Vine and Jan Christen.

Carlos Rodriguez , winner of the 2024 Romandie, will have to defend himself in the time trial but can have his say on the climbs. Other interesting names for the top 10 are Oscar Onley, Lennert Van Eetvelt, David Gaudu, Aleksandr Vlasov, Lenny Martinez and Javier Romo.

Very few sprinters present: at the start there is however the talent of Visma Lease a Bike, Matthew Brennan. Few chances, given the scheduled stages, for Pavel Bittner, emerging sprinter of Team Picnic.
