Great sprint by the Dutchman ahead of Kooij
Casper Van Uden of Team Picnic won the fourth stage of the Giro d'Italia, from Alberobello to Lecce, 189 km.
The breakaway of the day is Francisco Munoz of Team Polti, reached by the group at 57 km from the finish. The race is at breakneck speed until the finish line, with the last few kilometers rather complicated between curves, roundabouts and narrowings.
Surprisingly, Van Uden was the one to celebrate at the finish line, beating Olav Kooij of Visma and Maikel Zijlaard of Tudor.
Mads Pedersen, fourth, remains leader of the general classification.
