Quinn Simmons (Lidl-Trek) wins the third stage of the Tour de Suisse, from Aarau to Heiden of 195.6 km.
Quinn Simmons breaks away from an initial 6-man breakaway on the Knolhusen climb. The American also held on to the next GPM with an advantage of more than 30".
At 7 km Powless counterattacks and launches himself in pursuit of Simmons. There is a lot of indecision in the group and no team takes command of the operations.
Simmons took advantage of this and flew to the finish line to take the win alone. A few seconds later, the yellow jersey group arrived, regulated in the sprint by Almeida on Onley .
