Important agreement on TV rights in cycling

Here's where to watch free-to-air racing until 2030

Not only has Tadej Pogacar 's contract been renewed until 2030, but another important agreement in the world of cycling has materialized for another five years. Amaury Sports Organization ( ASO ), the company that organizes the Tour de France , Unipublic and the European Broadcasting Union , known by its acronym EBU . The two agencies that organize some of the most prestigious races on the world road cycling calendar, have agreed with the association of continental television networks to broadcast, free-to-air, on national channels the races in question until 2030.

These races include the Tour de France, Vuelta a España, Paris-Roubaix and Liège-Bastogne-Liège . The agreement will apply to both men's and women's races and includes the territories of Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Italy , Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Hungary.

For Italy, therefore, the national member of the EBU is RAI , which could broadcast live the Tour de France, La Vuelta, Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, as well as Flèche Wallonne, Paris-Nice, Critérium du Dauphiné, Hamburg Classic, Eschborn-Frankfurt, Clasica San Sebastián, Paris-Tours, Tro-Bro Léon and Volta Catalunya.

The agreement also includes the transfer of the television rights to Eurosport/Warner Bros/Discovery for the races in question.
