Juan Ayuso won the 52nd edition of the Volta ao Algarve. In Portugal, the Spaniard from Lidl Trek won the final stage, finishing in Malhao after 148.4 km, winning the race ahead of Paul Seixas of Decathlon by 14 seconds and Joao Almeida of UAE Emirates by 59 seconds.

In the final stage, Ayuso finished ahead of Oscar Onley of Ineos Grenadiers, who then finished fourth overall ahead of his teammate Kevin Vauquelin, and Almeida.
