Michal Kwiatkowski won the 56th edition of the Amstel Gold Race. The Pole, who had already won the Dutch race in 2015, beat Benoit Cosnefroy in the photo finish in a sprint that recalled last year's sprint, when Van Aert won on Pidcock.

The decisive action started 33 km from the finish when eleven riders took advantage thanks to the selection made by Ineos: in front remained Kwiatkowski, Cosnefroy, Pidcock, Asgreen, Kung, Kamp, Van der Poel, Hirschi, Benoot, Teuns and Matthews.

Following the attack of Kwiatkowski and Cosnefroy while the opponents look at each other and Pidcock breaks the changes to favor his teammate.

We need to wait a few minutes to know the name of the winner: Cosnefroy celebrates the victory but the photo finish rewards, this time, an Ineos Grenadiers rider.

Tiesj Benoot was also on the podium while Van der Poel, who appeared less brilliant than seven days ago when Flanders won, is satisfied with fourth place.
