The Danish rider of Uno-X Mobility dominates the second stage and strengthens his lead in the general classification

Magnus Cort confirmed himself as the absolute dominator of the O Gran Camiño 2024. The Danish rider from Uno-X Mobility repeated his success in the first stage, also winning the second stage with a powerful and authoritative sprint on the slightly uphill finish line.

After a perfect team effort in the final, Cort unleashed his progression in the final meters, clearly distancing his opponents and crossing the finish line with several lengths of advantage. An impressive show of strength that confirms the excellent state of form of the Scandinavian runner.

Behind him was the Italian Martin Marcellusi (VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè), who managed to conquer second position with an excellent final sprint, while the podium was completed by the Spanish Carlos Canal of the Movistar team.

Thanks to this success and the ten-second bonus for the stage winner, Cort has consolidated his lead in the general classification. The Dane of Uno-X now leads Marcellusi by fourteen seconds, with Canal third at sixteen seconds.

The Spanish race will continue with a 15.6-kilometer individual time trial from Ourense to Pereiro de Aguiar, which could shake up the general classification.

Fantacycling Points:

Cort is proving to be a winning choice at the start of the season, confirming his skills as a finisher and his ability to be competitive on uneven courses. A rider to keep in serious consideration for the upcoming one-day races.
