Surprise in Hamburg, Van Aert mocked in the sprint

Marco Haller won the 25th edition of the Bemer Cyclassics in Hamburg, valid as a World Tour race.

At the end of the 204.7 km race, the 31-year-old Austrian rider from Bora hansgrohe preceded in a five-man sprint Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma), Quinten Hermans (Intermarchè Wanty Gobert), Jhonatan Narvaez (Ineos Grenadiers) and Patrick Konrad (Bora hansgrohe).

The group, ruled by Jasper Philipsen , reached the finish line with a delay of 10 seconds.
