The Slovenian fell during a reconnaissance last week

No World Cup for Matej Mohoric . The Slovenian fell last week during a reconnaissance of a gravel race, and has to give up supporting the two captains Tadej Pogacar and Primoz Roglic . In his place, coach Uroš Murn has called 26-year-old Matic Žumer (Sava Kranj Cycling), who will make up the team together with Pogacar, Roglic, Jan Tratnik, Domen Novak, Luka Mezgec, Matevz Govekar and Jaka Primozic.

“I have been in constant contact with Matej since the fall,” CT Murn told Siol. “We were waiting until today for a final decision, when we would have checked the conditions of the injury sustained in training. After consulting Krištof Knap, who is his club and national team doctor, we have decided that he will not participate in the road race on Sunday. The condition of the palm of his hand, which also has some stitches, is not such as to allow him to compete on Sunday."
