Sprint dominated by Gaviria and Van Tricht
Tim Merlier wins the Ronde van Limburg, Belgian 1.1 race, from Hasselt to Tongeren (178.4 km).
The race, without any significant elevation changes, was enlivened by Whiten Philipsen 's attempt, which however was overtaken 20 km from the finish. In the final two cobbled sections (1.3 km), several men attempted to break away, but without success.
The final sprint thus arrives, with several teams leading the pack; however, it is Merlier , without any teammates available, who launches the sprint: the Belgian leaves his opponents behind and wins clearly.
2nd place for Gaviria , 3rd Van Tricht ahead of Thijssen and Bauhaus.
