The technical commissioner of the Italian national cycling team, Daniele Bennati , announced the names of the ten riders who will leave for Australia for the online world championship of professionals scheduled for Sunday 25 September. Of these, eight will be chosen to be at the start: the names are those of Affini Edoardo, Ballerini Davide, Bagioli Andrea, Battistella Samuele, Bettiol Alberto, Conci Nicola, Rota Lorenzo, Sobrero Matteo, Trentin Matteo and Zana Filippo .

“I would say we have Bettiol and Trentin pillars. Bagioli in clear growth ”commented the Tuscan technician at the end of the Canadian GP. “We are not favorites - recalled the coach in indicating the squad - but it is an unpredictable formation, with athletes who often did well when they wore the blue shirt.” Bennati will start with part of the team on 16 September from Milan.

There is time to indicate the reserves: “I will do the evaluations after the training on site. I am sure that the boys will give their best and honor the jersey, as it has always been for the Italian national cycling teams ”.
