Kristen Faulkner won the gold medal in the women's road race at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The American athlete took off at -3 km from the finish line after having caught Blanka Vas and Marianne Vos together with Lotte Kopecky. The control between the opponents allowed her to immediately gain a clear advantage until the finish. Sprint for second place resolved in the photo finish, with Vos ahead of Kopecky and Vas.

Nothing to be done for Elisa Longo Borghini, in crisis at the end: the Italian finished in ninth position.
