Brandon Mcnulty won the fifth stage of the Paris-Nice, from Saint Just Saint Rambert to Saint Sauveur de Montagut of 188.8 km.

Fifth career victory for the American, on the run from the start of the very demanding stage together with other riders. The decisive action took place on the Col de la Mure, about forty kilometers from the finish.

Tussle between the big names fighting for the general classification: the group of the best, governed by Pierre Latour, arrived at the finish with a delay of almost six minutes.
