One of the most eagerly awaited editions of the Tour of Flanders ever will take place on Sunday, with all the classics specialists competing.
Tadej Pogacar appears unbeatable, with the Slovenian galvanized by his victory at the Sanremo and ready to confirm his success at the Ronde.
The most quoted opponents are the 'usual' Van der Poel , Van Aert and Pedersen , but they all appear a step below, especially the Dane who is recovering from injuries and flu.
The big surprise will be Remco Evenepoel 's participation in his first Tour of Flanders.
Other riders interesting for a placing are F.Vermeersch, Laporte , Stuyven, Abrahamsen and Trentin .
Possible surprises include: Pithie, Segaert, Hagenes, Sheffield, Berckmoes and Van Dijke.
The route has not undergone any particular changes since recent years, with the finish in Oudenaarde.
The Oude Kwaremont will be passed three times, the Paterberg twice, and the Koppenberg once. In total, there will be 16 walls, with a total distance of 278 km.
