Dusan Rajovic wins the third stage of the Giro di Sardegna, 168 km from Cagliari to Tortolì.

In the first part of the race, Taccone and Cireddu broke away and attempted the day's breakaway.
The group easily controlled the two leaders and caught up with them immediately after the Genna Cresia mountain pass.

In the final, Michielsen of Lidl-Trek tries his luck, but is caught a few kilometres later.
Red Bull and Polti set up the final sprint with Maestri trying to launch Penalver , but Rajovic had the best start, beating Donati by a hair's breadth, who perhaps started too early.

The overall standings remain unchanged, with Garibbo wearing the blue jersey as he awaits tomorrow's queen stage.
