Great Italy with Ganna and Affini on the podium!

Remco Evenepoel (Belgium) confirms his title as world time trial champion! The Soudal-Quick Step rider completes the 46.1 km of the Zurich course in 53'01".

The Belgian, last to start, takes the lead right from the first split, with a 6" advantage over Ganna , while, after the uphill stretch, he gains another three.

Evenepoel creates the decisive breakaway at the third half-time with a 19" margin over Ganna and manages to resist in the final flat part.

Great performance also for Edoardo Affini who placed on the podium behind Ganna.

Tarling finished in fourth place, while among the favourites, Roglic (caught by Ganna at the finish line), Sheffield and Kung disappointed.
