Jayco AlUla's Chris Harper won the 20th stage of the Giro d'Italia, from Verres to Sestriere, 205km.

The Giro turns on its head on the Colle delle Finestre: Richard Carapaz tries several times to drop the pink jersey Isaac Del Toro without success. Simon Yates moves towards the two and manages to drop them and gain an advantage, kilometre after kilometre.

At the top, the British rider passes with 1'40" on Carapaz and Del Toro (more busy controlling Carapaz than responding to Yates) and reaches his teammate Wout Van Aert, in the breakaway with other attackers since the morning, who helps him until the start of the climb towards Sestriere. Del Toro gives up so much that he waits for his teammates.

Meanwhile, at the finish line, Chris Harper, also in the breakaway, won the stage ahead of an excellent Alessandro Verre.

Simon Yates arrives third two minutes behind but above all he conquers the pink jersey, avenging the crisis of Finestre in 2018 that made him lose the Giro.

Abysmal gap for Del Toro, Carapaz, Gee, Caruso and Pellizzari, who arrived at over 7'.

Tomorrow the closing of the Giro 2025 in Rome.
