Bad news at Visma Lease a Bike: Sepp Kuss , winner of the 2023 Spanish Vuelta and Jonas Vingegaard's most trusted uphill companion, will not be at the start of the 2024 Tour de France, next Saturday, from Florence.

This is yet another negative episode of the season for the team that dominated last year, winning the Giro, Tour and, indeed, the Vuelta.

The American runner has not recovered from Covid and will have to miss the most important race in the world. In his place will be Bart Lemmen.
