Great show in the last stage of Itzulia with arrival in Arrate after 135 km. The Basque race was decided on the last ascent of the day, with the big players fighting for the final success.

It was Ion Izagirre who won the race ahead of Aleksandr Vlasov and Marc Soler.

The final success went to Daniel Martinez of Ineos, constant throughout the week.

Remco Evenepoel broke away in the final and came within 25 seconds of the stage winner. More detached Primoz Roglic, Adam Yates and Enric Mas, who crashed during the stage.

The podium of the general classification is completed by a brilliant Izagirre and Vlasov. The big losers are the Jumbo Visma: Vingegaard and Roglic finished sixth and eighth respectively.
