Egan Bernal , after the terrible accident in 2023, is slowly trying to return to the levels of his best seasons, when he managed to win the Tour de France (2019) and the Giro d'Italia (2021).

Last year the Colombian showed good signs in the first part of the season, managing to be competitive on climbs and placing in several short stage races, such as Paris-Nice, Catalunya, Romandie and Switzerland.

His 2025 started in the best possible way: Bernal won the double national race , both the time trial and the road race. To make a comparison, in 2024 he placed 3rd and 6th respectively. In today's race, run on the 237 km course of Bucaranga, Bernal imposed his dominance and won alone.
