Well Alaphilippe, the other big names are far away

Maikel Zijlaard wins the prologue of the Tour de Romandie , in Payerne, of 2.28 km. A very technical route, with many bends and short straights, very difficult to interpret.

The Dutch Tudor rider precedes Cameron Scott (Team Bahrain Victorious) by just ninety hundredths and the Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal Quick Step) by two seconds and three tenths.

The big names are out of the positions that count, such as the Yates brothers, but also Brandon McNulty, last to start, but who was unable to make the most of his time trial skills in a short and technical course.
