Remco Evenepoel won the eighth and final stage of the Tour of Switzerland, a 25km individual time trial starting and finishing in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.

The Belgian Quick Step rider stopped the clock on a time of 28'26 "at an average of 54.021 km / h. Second place for Geraint Thomas (Ineos) just three seconds behind, third for Stefan Kung (Groupama Fdj) in 28 '37 ".

The Swiss race, decimated by retirements due to Covid (the last this morning was Peter Sagan) and malaise, was won by Thomas in a podium completed by Sergio Higuita and Jakob Fuglsang .
