The Ag Insurance - Soudal Team athlete won the seventh stage of the race with a mountain finish in Le Grand Bornand after 166.4 km thanks to a long breakaway, first in company and then, in the final kilometres, alone. With this success, Ghekiere consolidates her lead in the polka dot jersey classification.

Behind the Belgian, the big names control each other and no one makes the difference. In the end, Demi Vollering arrives third and only earns the bonus seconds on Kasia Niewiadoma, fourth, and still in the yellow jersey. Tomorrow is the last stage with the arrival on Alpe d'Huez.
