The downhill attack in the final stages was decisive

Cedrine Kerbaol ( CERATIZIT-WNT Pro Cycling Team) wins the sixth stage of the Tour de France femmes from Remiremont to Morteau (159 km).

The race explodes on the Cote de Fins, the last scheduled GPM, with the yellow jersey group managing to catch Brown and Fisher-Black, the last escapees of the day. Several athletes try to attack, including Roojakers and Labous, but none manage to make a difference on the climb.

As soon as the final descent begins, Kerbaol tries to extend her lead and manages to create a gap. The Frenchwoman also resists in the final flat stretch and triumphs alone.

The yellow jersey group is regulated by Marianne Vos , who takes the green jersey, ahead of Lippert .

Niewiadoma defends the yellow jersey with just 16" on Kerbaol and 19" on Faulkner.
