Ecuadorian Team UAE confident for final victory

Jonathan Narvaez was one of the protagonists of the third stage of the Tour Down Under . The Ecuadorian from Team UAE , chosen by 58% of the players at Fantacycling , finished the Uraidla stage in second place and is now 8” behind the new leader Romo in the general classification.

“I think it was a good day for the team,” Narváez said in the post-stage. “We worked hard and tried to make the race difficult. It’s not always better to evaluate the race only by the result. We achieved our goal: to ride hard and try to win the stage. Of course we didn’t win, but we still have many opportunities to exploit. Each of my teammates worked well as expected yesterday,” continued the Ecuadorian from Team UAE. “The climb was tough, that’s for sure. Between me and Jay (Vine, ed.), we have two strong guys who can compete in the race, but I have to give credit to Romo because he made a smart attack . The moment he went, no one chased him.

At the end of the race you can win even by just one second and I think we are in a good position. Let's see how the leader will manage the race in the next few days and we will try to develop a strategy to try to win the race with me or with Jay".
